The FOBRO row hoeing brush is the most important new development in mechanical weeding in the last 50 years. The proven hoeing system for vegetable farming, nursery gardens and for special agricultural applications. The tunnel protects the rotating brushes. The brushes are of wear-resistant material and are ideal for stony ground. Due to their flexibility the brushes can operate very close to the plants. This reduces the need for manual weeding and application of sprayed media to a minimum.
Advantage
The FOBRO Brush Hoe (inter row weeder) is the only known tool to weed and cultivate between such narrow plantings without causing damage to plants and roots. This is where you can measure directly the efficiency by drastically reducing the area were mechanical weed control can’t reach (less hand weeding).
Plants are protected from rotating bristles and soil. In the row soil is not moved or scooped as with other cultivating tools. Even the finest, most delicate sprout, stem and roots will stay intact.
Flexible brush bristles
The bristles are made out of highly wear resistant material. There flexibility allows to work extremly close to the plants and this even in rocky soil. Due to that work principal always the smallest plant protector tunnel can be used and this means cultivating closer to the plants leaving minimal handweeding or herbicide spraying in the row.
A very important side effect is achieved with the flexible bristles. They smash the weeds in such a way that they are pulled out bare root. Then the weeds dry out fast because the bristles damage their protective wax-coating (cuticula).
