Oekosem

Rotor-Strip-Till System

In a single pass, the Oekosem Rotor-Strip-Till process creates a perfect seedbed for all cultivation in rows. The unprocessed strips protect against erosion and store water. Fertilise, deep loosen, cultivate and sow, all in a single pass. This saves time and money, and maintains the strong yield capability of the ground.

The non-ploughing Rotor-Strip-Till process, developed in Switzerland, has been successfully used for more than 25 years. In this way, despite for instance increasingly dry conditions, the yields have remained high, due to the water-retention properties of the intermediate strips.

The Oekosem is available in various strip pitches and widths. The Oekosem can also be used for cultivation of sugar beet. The newly developed crush rotor tool also allows the Oekosem to be converted for turning over stubble. This means the Oekosem is utilised all the year round.

  1. Saves time, money and fuel
  2. Ensures high yields
  3. Prevents erosion

Oekosem 4R700

With the Oekosem 4R700 the 4 rows are spaced 70 cm apart. The working width is thus 280 cm, the working depth of the grubber can be set between 20 and 35 cm. The working depth of the cultivator is between 7 and 15 cm.

The Oekosem can also be used for cultivation of sugar beet in strip agriculture. The built-in packer roller prepares the seed bed for the sugar beet sowing operation. In a single pass with the Oekosem-P Rotor-Strip-Till process the seedbed is tilled, fertilised and evenly prepared; the ground is deeply loosened and evenly compacted for the next sowing machine, using the compaction roller.

Oekosem for turning over stubble

With the newly developed crush rotor tool (patent applied for) which you can fit yourself to the Oekosem, for the first time the European corn borers can be systematically and successfully combatted. Simply take out the deep loosener. Fit the crushing tool, and away you go. The maize stubble is cut off at the root below soil level and then forced into the tool where it is crushed and chopped. Because the stubble is buried underground, more than 95% of the stubble is permanently destroyed. At the same time and in the same pass, winter green manure can be sown. The new application brings more machine utilisation at only a small investment.
